During the years of 1949 and 1950, the cars that the Ford Motor Company made were all very much the same when it came to appearance. Luckily, the engineers at Ford were hard at work solving this problem, but the models that the company made weren’t exactly what you would want to buy. There were those who really wanted to have a car during that time though, even if the car they bought had some parts that were below standard and defective. Such defects included parts shaking and rattling.
However, there were still those who bought these cars. During the autumn of 1949, Ford introduced its 1950 car model and this time, improvements from the 1949 model were made and these were very much noticed by the general public. The 1950 model had designs that were really thought of and implemented such as a refurbished stabilizer, a transferred spring which lessens the car’s bounce overall and an overhauled body. Aside from these, the car’s front side was modified to solve the problems that were plaguing the 1949 car model.
Many other improvements were made by Ford for their 1950 model. One such improvement was the transfer of the car’s gas filler neck from its original placement and was transferred behind a flap so that it would now be possible to jack up the car. Aside from that, the 1950 Ford model car also had more options for buyers. The engine, a V8 which gives out 100 horse power, can now have piston-slap and gear timing, unlike the earlier model’s engine which only had a flathead inline 6 engine that only provided 95 horse power. There were also other options such as carpets and not only rubber floor mats. “Magic-Air” heaters were also another option that one can have added to his or her car.
The 1950 Ford model cars also had many variations on offer such as pick-ups, two-door as well as four-door sedans, business coupe, station wagons and convertibles too.
The Ford 1950 model car was the car that people were really into back during that time. It was both a want and a need. However, the 1950 Ford model car that you should really take into consideration is the Crestliner. Aside from being flashy, it’s also furnished with many modern accessories such as CD and DVD players and a surround sound system among others. You can say that it not only catches attention, it grabs it.
